2022

ALFA Ventures was established last year with the aim of contributing to a transformation in the property industry towards a more sustainable, customer-centric and digital future. A recently landed investment in proptech company Captego marks the latest investment in the series.

Captego was founded in 2018 with the ambition to transform and simplify data collection and documentation, in the construction industry as well as others. On this basis, Captego has developed a unique platform that communicates with an intelligent camera app, rendering the daily inspection work both user-friendly and easily accessible. Captego differs from other solutions on the market by both being close at hand, via an app on the phone, but also by transforming all inspections into automated reports with a few clicks. In addition, the app can be adapted to the individual inspector and the individual inspection, which makes Captego's solution particularly flexible, while at the same time being data-driven and innovative.

The real estate industry is undergoing transformation when it comes to sustainability and digitization. With ALFA Ventures, we want to be part of the solution by supporting the companies we believe can lead the way in this transformation. Captego is a very good example of this with their platform that both simplifies but also raises the quality of the important inspection process. We observe significant efficiency improvements and a significant lift in data quality for customers using Captego. The potential for Captego is enormous – not only within the property industry but also within a wide range of other industries. We are proud to have had the opportunity to support Captego and look forward to rolling up our sleeves with the amazing team behind Captego
Anders Dalskov, who is CEO of ALFA Ventures.

“Thanks to our investors in this seed round, it unlocks our ability to scale across Europe and truly redefine how field data is collected, managed and actioned,”_ concludes Jeremy Sparrow, who cuncurrently joins Captego as new CEO.

Over the next 5 years, ALFA Ventures aims to invest €20 million in start-up companies. ALFA Ventures has already invested in i.e. Stykka, which has digitized the entire process for design, production and sale of kitchens and fixtures, Wise Home, which generates automated consumption accounts and data-driven property insight, and Nextfood, which works with vertical farming, to reduce the environmental impact of agriculture by 95 -99%. In 2019, ALFA Development also contributed to the establishment of PropTech Denmark, a non-profit organization with a mission to promote innovation, technological development and digital transformation within real estate.

At Captego, we are building a category-defining solution that finally unlocks the true value of field data. We are thrilled to have investors that share our bold vision and are committed to supporting Captego at this early stage. With ALFA Ventures and VF Venture on board, we will be able to expand our presence across the continent and continue building on our world class technology
