ALFA Ventures was established last year with the aim of contributing to a transformation in the property industry towards a more sustainable, customer-centric and digital future. A recently landed investment in proptech company Captego marks the latest investment in the series.
Captego was founded in 2018 with the ambition to transform and simplify data collection and documentation, in the construction industry as well as others. On this basis, Captego has developed a unique platform that communicates with an intelligent camera app, rendering the daily inspection work both user-friendly and easily accessible. Captego differs from other solutions on the market by both being close at hand, via an app on the phone, but also by transforming all inspections into automated reports with a few clicks. In addition, the app can be adapted to the individual inspector and the individual inspection, which makes Captego's solution particularly flexible, while at the same time being data-driven and innovative.
“Thanks to our investors in this seed round, it unlocks our ability to scale across Europe and truly redefine how field data is collected, managed and actioned,”_ concludes Jeremy Sparrow, who cuncurrently joins Captego as new CEO.
Over the next 5 years, ALFA Ventures aims to invest €20 million in start-up companies. ALFA Ventures has already invested in i.e. Stykka, which has digitized the entire process for design, production and sale of kitchens and fixtures, Wise Home, which generates automated consumption accounts and data-driven property insight, and Nextfood, which works with vertical farming, to reduce the environmental impact of agriculture by 95 -99%. In 2019, ALFA Development also contributed to the establishment of PropTech Denmark, a non-profit organization with a mission to promote innovation, technological development and digital transformation within real estate.
