In the summer of 2020, the first residents of Trongården moved in and have ever since been crucial in transforming and shaping the area into a diverse and cohesive neighbourhood. Trongården consists of 120 townhouses as well as 67 rental homes, which ALFA sold to BlackRock Real Assets in the spring of 2021. Currently, the construction site is particularly busy as the last phase is under construction. The entire neighbourhood is expected to be completed in August 2022, when the last residents will move in.
“With proximity to both Kgs. Lyngby and Copenhagen, beautiful nature, good infrastructure, associations and schools, Trongården is a strong example of an attractive and sustainable neighbourhood which matches demand perfectly. This is very obvious as all of the 120 townhouses are now sold out, almost a year before the last residents move in. We are extremely pleased with this, as urban neighbourhoods built with quality of life in mind for both residents and the surrounding community are our absolute focus for the future," says Jan Kristensen, CEO in ALFA.
ALFA Development is also the developer of IrmaByen in Rødovre - another incredibly successful and popular project. Here, ALFA has transformed Irma's old domicile into a completely new, 135,000 sq m neighbourhood. As in Trongården, the interest in IrmaByen has been enormous and many of the projects were sold out even before the completion of several of the sub-areas. In 2023 when IrmaByen is fully developed, the district will be home to approx. 3,000 residents.
